Light of Stars is meant to be inclusive. The stars are handmade by people from different faith groups & communities across India. Their origin is in festivity & celebration. Paper Starlights like to work in support of creative collaborations, community & charitable links, BIDS, lantern trails, localities & networks. Our wish is to help create love & light.
Stars have mesmerised humanity throughout history, captivating our imaginations and inspiring countless works of art. Folk art, deeply rooted in diverse cultures and faiths, has beautifully depicted these celestial beings for centuries. Embracing this rich artistic tradition, Paper Starlights, a renowned brand founded in 1996, specialises in crafting exquisite star-shaped lanterns. Handmade with utmost care in India, each lantern reflects the essence of cultural celebrations, uniting craftsmanship and tradition.
At the core of Paper Starlights lies an unwavering commitment to crafting each star lantern with utmost care and authenticity. Imbued with the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship, every single star is meticulously fashioned using natural materials, ensuring a harmonious blend of elegance and sustainability. The process itself is a true testament to the artistry of the human touch, with each design being lovingly screen-printed by hand. Employing a traditional wooden printing frame and vibrant, plant-based pigments, this non-automated approach breathes life into every star, infusing it with a unique charm and character.
